Painting en Plein Air – The Ultimate Way to Experience Italy!

plein air italy

The best way to experience Italy is to savor it.

The food, the people and the vistas all warrant an undivided focus – even a contemplation – so that they are truly sensed and (as a result) remembered.

That’s why I love the idea of painting in Italy – particularly plein air painting. Capturing a scene, with its particular lighting and colors, is the ultimate way to savor a moment in a land that has attracted artists from around the world for thousands of years. It’s magical.

So having the opportunity to host a plein air workshop (conducted by accomplished artist, Kelly Medford) is truly a pleasure for me because I know that participants will be immersed in Italy’s incredible, historic surroundings, while capturing special moments from Rome to Umbria to Tuscany – with their brushes.

It’s the ultimate way to experience Italy – and to savor it.
