Sunflowers, Sunflowers, Sunflowers!

This is one of those posts that really doesn’t need words – the pictures are truly worth thousands. So I’ll keep the words to a minimum.

Sunflowers are beautiful, and the sunflower fields of Italy are jaw-dropping, spectacular. Each year I look forward to walking through the fields and photographing these golden, yellow beauties. This year was a particular treat, because I chose to take pictures in a large field near an abandoned stone farmhouse. Such a romantic setting!

So here are some of my favorite pics from that outing. Bellissimi girasoli!

(Oh, and see if you can spot the sunflower that’s turned towards the camera while all the others are pointing another direction! I love that sunflower!)
